When you need to "get there" but find it
difficult to get to the bus stop, AMCAT's Dial-A-Ride service can help.
What is Dial-A-Ride?
Dial-A-Ride is a service from AMCAT. It is designed to serve
riders with special needs by providing home pickup service which drops
them off directly at their destination. Dial-A-Ride can take you
directly from your home to the grocery store, appointments, or anywhere
you need to go!
Who can use Dial-A-Ride?
Dial-A-Ride is designed to assist the following AMCAT riders:
- Disabled/handicapped customers
- Seniors who have difficulty getting to bus stops
- Anyone who lives more than 4 blocks from a regular AMCAT route
Customers should keep in mind:
- You must call ahead to arrange a ride (see next panel).
- AMCAT provides curb-to-curb service. If you need
assistance walking to the curb, you must find your own assistant.
Assistant may ride for free.
- You need to be able to handle your own packages.
How do I use Dial-A-Ride?
AMCAT's Dial-A-Ride service is easy and convenient to use:
- Call to schedule your ride at least 24
hours in advance.

- Be prepared to be picked up at least 5 minutes before scheduled
pickup.
- Have your fare or your pass ready for the fare box.
Fare Cost: $2.50 per trip
